Not So Spiritual

We have started a new series called "not so spiritual." It's a series of teachings in Matthew 6. Last week the teaching was on Jesus' and giving. If you have not heard the message you can listen here on the website or in the app (if you don't have the app, get it). This weekend we will continue the series teachings as we look at prayer. As we approach the weekend, would you partner with us in prayer?

1. Pray for yourself first. Sunday will be a game changing day as prayer is the conduit for acquiring the power of God for all we do. Pray is the first ministry in the church. And for it to be first in the church it must be first in us. In you. Ask the Lord to give you a heart for prayer. Bring your Bible to church. Come expecting to hear from God. Bring a Bible, take notes, pray during the message. Let God move in you.

2. Pray  for the church. We are family. Family means we relate together. And we do it in a common mission. When we serve Jesus, we do it as a united family seeking to dismantle hell. Ask the Lord to stir us up as a church to have a hunger to not only study the word, but to obey His word. Ask the Lord to use us in this community to accomplish His will.

3. Pray for our community. God the Father wants our community to know His Son Jesus. For that to happen we must proclaim the gospel in our community with in the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit in us and through us. Ask that our community to experience an awakening so much that 100s would come to know Jesus.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend.
