Born in Batavia, NY and raised in Albuquerque, NM, John comes from a large family of 11 kids where there was never a dull moment. Always adventurous, and occasionally in trouble, John lived life to the fullest. In the winter of 1979, during his junior year of high school while at a Young Life winter camp, John committed his life to Christ and began to live life fully for Him.

Early on in his life as a Christian, God called John to the ministry. Though it would be a number of years before that call was realized. John pursued, with passion, the call God had on his life. After working with the Homeless at the Albuquerque Rescue Mission for three years, John stepped down in 1993 until God called him to Ruidoso.

In 1998, Pastor John his wife Devin and their four children moved to Ruidoso to fulfill the call of Pastor for Calvary Chapel of Ruidoso. In 2001 the God added a 5th child to their family.

Pastor John loves sports and coaches gymnastics, plays golf and loves to cook gourmet dishes and desserts. But his greatest passion is in teaching the Word of God.

Favorite Verse:  Ephesians 2:9-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” John has come to realize that the work done in and through him is only the result of Gods wonderful grace and blessed mercy. Knowing this great truth has helped him to press forward in his walk and in God’s work.
